TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment

Payment can be made by cash or cheque. We reserve the right to require cheques to be cleared into our bank account before releasing recorded materials. Sorry – we do not take credit cards. Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be made on presentation of our invoice – usually at the end of the booked session.

VERY IMPORTANT – all outstanding invoices, including session and mixing fees, media costs, must be paid in full before recordings will be delivered. We reserve the right to retain any and all recorded material until all monies owed to us by any party involved in the recording(s) have been paid in full.

Bookings

Unless otherwise agreed, a deposit of 25% of the anticipated session fees (minimum £50.00) is required to secure a booking. Deposits will be refunded, less a £10.00 handling fee if a session is cancelled at least 72 hours prior to the booked start time. No refund will be given for sessions cancelled within 72 hours of the booked start time.

If you need to change a booking, one change is permitted without charge subject to availability, provided always that the request is received at least 72 hours prior to the booked start time. Subsequent changes or requests within 72 hours will be treated as cancellations though a credit of 50% of the deposit paid will be given towards a further booking within 6 months of the cancellation.

Damage and breakages

You are responsible for any damage or breakages that occur during your time at OxTrack no matter how they arise. We are sympathetic to genuine accidents and fair wear and tear but damage caused by careless handling of equipment (including damage to the buildings and their contents) or damage to microphones or other recording equipment will be charged to your account.

Copyright material

You will be required to sign a waiver to the effect that the work to be recorded is your own original work or, if the work of others, is used with permission.

You must indemnify OxTrack Studio against any claim that arises from abuse of copyright.

Mechanical copyright in all recordings made at OxTrack remains the property of OxTrack Studio unless a specific written agreement to the contrary is made. You must obtain our permission if further copies are to be made.

Where appropriate, we may require production credit and producer rights in recordings, subject to prior agreement between us.

Recording media and master recordings

Unless specifically invoiced to you and paid for in full, all recording media (tapes, disks etc.) remain our property. Session masters may be acquired subject to payment of the applicable media and production charges shown on our rate card from time to time.

We reserve the right to erase, re-use or destroy any media that remains our property or is left with us unclaimed for a period of six months or more following the recording date.
